Water Mage
Up to this version there were three types of encounters:
- Shuriken
- Dark Demon Guy
- Obstacle Jumps
In this version I was trying to address the steep difficulty increase between the first two and the obstacle jumps encounter.
I implemented a new, medium difficulty encounter, that will appear in the first levels instead of the obstacle jumps one, pushed the first appearance of the obstacle course to the 3rd level and made it easier at first encounter.
I named the new encounter "Water Mage", it starts with an audio queue for the incoming elements and features half-beats.
I really like how it turned out and convinced me audio queues should play a bigger part in the next encounters I create.
In addition I've increased the volume of the character's steps indicating the tempo, to more easily be aware of them.
My current personal best is 1616.1m, my wife is struggling to break 200m.
